DART is still moving along. We need to file for Business status yet and do a few more things before we are official.

Haven't done too many side projects lately. Working on a media pc, but nothing to report on that yet.

This page is all me

Who Am I?

So who is Wiestika? Well that is me. My name is Nathan Wiest and I am currently a Computer Technician for the University of Nebraska at Lincoln. I graduated from SCC with an Associates degree in Microcomputer Technology in December of 2006. I sort of made WiestikArts a few years ago after converting a gaming name, Wiestika, to a graphic design related element in WiestikArts. I have been working with Adobe After Effects, Photoshop, and a few other cool programs awhile now (since about July 2005). My brother and I have always been into Star Wars so making a lightsaber fight has always been a cool idea, we just never new how to go about it until I got ahold of Adobe After Effects 5.5 a few years back. I started dabbling around and all at once, I had a rotoscoped saber. Of course my first ones looked awful, but they improved each time. My work continues to improve and expand as I go.

Of course, WiestikArts isn't all about lightsaber fights. I love making title sequences and logos for anything. My favorite part about my site is all of the WiestikArts title sequences. If you haven't seen them check them out here. I hope to continue to improve these little sequences, maybe even get them to a professional level someday. I would also like to go back to school somewhere in the near future for Graphic Design, so I actually have the degree. For some reason people seem to trust you more with that little piece of paper :-D

What else is there to know about me, the man behind the website? Not too much really, I met Terrence Nunn once, but that's a whole other story that you can read about here. Other than that, there isn't really anything else you need to know. Right now I don't do projects for other people, so no requests for a logo now. I would rather wait until I am more established and have a website setup for that sort of thing. I am always open to some constructive criticism, just not everyone at once! So, enjoy this site, and send me suggestions or any questions you have.

One more thing, I kind of random so don't forget to check my site every couple of days. At any particular time during a week I could be in pre-production on a lightsaber fight, or post-production on a title sequence, so keep up-to-date.
